Madeira Nature still surprising...

On the 2nd of Agust 2007, during a full-day nature tour on West Madeira with Madeira Wind Birds guides, Hugo and Catarina, Michael Gibbons and Graham Palmer (UK birdwatchers) observed a Hobby Falco subbuteo flying over Ponta do Pargo along with plenty of Kestrels and Buzzards which scare away the passerine species.
Hobby
On Seixal the Green-winged Teal Anas carolinensis which has been observed since February, as a first record for Madeira by Hugo and Catarina, is now with its Summer plumage which is very different from the one it wears on Winter.
