On September 17th during a Fauna & Flora tour, after watching Trocaz Pigeons, Madeira Firecrests and Chaffinches on the Laurel Forest, the following migrant waders were seen on the river mouth of Machico:
1 Whimbrel Numenius phaeopus
1 Redshank Tringa totanus
1 Little Egret Egreta garzeta
12 Ruddy Turnstones Arenaria interpres
1 Little Ringed Plover juvenile Charadrius dubius
