Yellow-crowned Night Heron, April 2011

A month has passed and the Yellow-crowned Night Heron Nyctanassa violacea is still wondering around the Funchal Marina. The bird roosts on the boats and feeds at west and south rocks of the marina.

During this month, this bird observations have been erratic, where the bird is not always at the marina, sometimes followed by two days of no sightings.
