On the 21st of May 2011 the group of Spanish birdwatchers (Antonio Ceballos, Daniel Velasco, Guillermo Rodriguez, José Pedro Portillo, Juan Sagardia and Ricardo Hevia) who joined us on the first Zino's Petrel Pelagic Expedition of 2011 went to Porto Santo Island and, on the golf course, they observed a few interesting vagrant birds, from which the 2nd record of Honey Buzzard:
European Honey Buzzard Pernis apivorus - 1 adult male, 2nd record for Madeira Archipelago! The 1st record by A. Swash dates from the 12th of August 1981, a single adult observed in Monte, Madeira
