Teals in Madeira Island

3rd January 2009 - another nice full-day birdwatching spent in Madeira Island with Madeira Wind Birds guides! A good starting for 2009 as we observed a total of 28 species from which some migrants or specials as:

1 Green-winged Teal
2 Wigeons - one male and one female
5 Dunlins
1 Little Egret
17 Coots
1 Ringed Plover
1 Common sandpiper

1 Green-winged Teal
1 Teal
1 Lesser Black-backed Gull
3 Little Shearwaters flying on the sea

Ribeira Brava
Plain Swifts
Trocaz Pigeon
